She brings a deep understanding of performance, visual storytelling, and on-set collaboration, and she believes the best work comes from trust and from creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.

In 2023, Alexis was selected for the UCLA Writers Program Showrunning Fellowship, where she refined her understanding of how to build and lead a television series from the ground up. The following year, she launched Homestretch Media, her creative studio dedicated to designing pitch materials for production companies and independent artists to include features, pilots, commercials, and music videos.

As a director, Alexis's work is gaining significant traction. Her all-Black microdrama A Different Kind of Forever debuted at the American Black Film Festival in the 9:16 Microdrama category and is part of the inaugural class in partnership with Hartbeat Studios. She also created Girl Dinner, a suspense drama produced with an all-female cast and crew that premiered at ESSENCE Film Festival, and In Three Acts, a completed music-driven visual series.
